The Department of Classics & Archaeology at Queen’s University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching courses in the following: Introductory Greek; GREK 112A and GREK 112B, with an enrolment of approximately 100 students. Candidates should have a Ph. D. and teaching experience at the university level within the field of Classics & Archaeology.  This is a term appointment for the period September 1^st, 2023, to May 31st, 2024, with classes in session from September 5^th, 2023 to May 8^th, 2024.

Course Description:

 

 

 

GREK 112A and GREK 112B – Introductory Greek total of 6.0 units (fall/winter terms)

Fundamentals of grammar, syntax and etymology, for students with no or little knowledge of Ancient Greek; provides sufficient background to read Plato, Euripides as well as the New Testament.
