Call for Papers – Atlantic Classical Association

The Department of Classics at Dalhousie University is pleased to be hosting this year’s meeting of the Atlantic Classical Association (ACA) on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, 2023. The ACA is a small conference that offers the opportunity for students and scholars in Atlantic Canada and beyond to gather together and share their research in a welcoming and relaxed environment. This will be an in-person conference only.

The organizers invite papers of 20 minutes on any topic concerning the ancient world. Please send an abstract of no more than 300 words to Dr. Emily Varto (evarto@dal.ca) by October 6, 2023.

If you do not intend to give a paper but still plan on attending the conference, please let us know over email (evarto@dal.ca) by October 27 so that we can plan our catering.

Please note that, given the sharp rise in the cost of food services, the organizers will be asking all participants who are not currently students to contribute a small fee of $15 to help offset the costs.
