Position description

This position is subject to budgetary approval and need, and is full-time, normally at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2021 and ending May 14, 2022. Individuals holding limited-term appointments may be granted a subsequent appointment, given continued funding and need, as well as satisfactory job performance. Together, initial appointments and subsequent appointments may not exceed 36 months or a span of three consecutive years.

Qualifications and assets

The successful applicant will be required to teach courses in Prehistoric, Greek, Roman, and Egyptian archaeology at all levels, as well as upper-level seminars. Applicants must have a PhD in Classical Archaeology or a related field and proven excellence in teaching. Experience with online/remote instruction is a significant asset.  Active participation in an archaeological fieldwork and experience in supervising students in the field is desirable.
