The Department of Classics, Brock University, invites applications for two courses:
Position 1:
CLAS 1P97 D3 S1: Myths of the Heroic Age, taught in the Winter 2007-2008 (January 1, 2008- April 30, 2008).
Scheduled Course Time: Thursday, 1400-1600, DHOWES.
Instructor Stipend - $5,059 per half course (195 hours nominally)
Qualifications:
1 - Ph.D. in Classics or near completion.
2 - Evidence of recent successful university level teaching experience in the specific subject area.
Position 2:
CLAS 2F05 D1 S1: Introduction to Classical Literature, taught in the Fall & Winter 2007- 2008: (September 1, 2007-April 30, 2008).
Scheduled Course Time: Mon. & Fri., 1600-1700, TH 246.
Instructor Stipend - $10,118 per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture (or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture) are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Qualifications:
1 - Ph.D. in Classics or near completion.
2 - Evidence of recent successful university level teaching experience in the specific subject area.
