One-year Term Sabbatical Replacement

The Department of Classics invites applications for a one-year term sabbatical replacement, subject to budgetary approval. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2004 and will be at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant discipline (or be near completion) and have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching. Duties will include teaching courses on various aspects of classical civilization, as well as language instruction in Greek and/or Latin. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, teaching dossier, and three letters of reference, and should be sent to:

Applications will be accepted until April 15, 2004 or until the position is filled.  The Department expects to have further term positions open in the subsequent year, subject to budgetary approval.
