12-month sessional replacement in Classics
at the rank of Assistant Professor
The Department of Classics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications from qualified women and men for a 12-month sessional replacement in Classics at the rank of Assistant Professor, to commence July 1, 2003. Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in Classical Civilization, Greek or Roman History, and Greek or Latin.  Qualifications include a complete or nearly completed Ph.D. and a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. Nine-month limited appointment
 at the rank of Lecturer

The Department of Classics at McMaster University invites applications for a nine-month contractually limited appointment at the rank of lecturer, effective September 1st, 2003. The salary for the nine month period at the rank of Assistant Professor will be$36, 097 as of July 1, 2003.

Qualifications should include a Ph.D. complete or near completion, and a record of excellent teaching experience.  The successful applicant will be required to teach 6 undergraduate half courses in Greek, Latin, and ancient history. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the research and administrative activities of the department.
