The Department of Classics, Memorial University of Newfoundland, invites applications for an 8-month teaching term appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to teach introductory courses in the classical languages as well as more specialized courses in literature in translation and other aspects of classical civilization. The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at Saint Mary's University invites applications from qualified individuals to teach courses in Classics on a part-time basis for the academic year September 2003 to April 2004. We require instructors to teach undergraduate courses from among Classical Mythology, the History of Ancient Egypt, History of Ancient Rome, the Ancient Epic, and Latin. Candidates must have at least a Masters degree and preferably a Ph.D. in a relevant field as well as experience in teaching at the university level.
