Three Appointments: One Permanent Lectureship and
Two Two-year Lectureships
Permanent Lecturer in Ancient History/Classics/Classical Studies
Applications are invited for a new, permanent lectureship in the Department of Classics and Ancient History, from September 1, 2002. Your field of research may be any aspect of the culture, history, or literature of Ancient Greece or Rome, but you will be expected to contribute to the teaching of either the Ancient History or the Classical Studies degree programmes, or both. You must have a PhD in hand or close to completion. Salary range £20,470-£24,435 per annum. Please quote reference 8092.Two Temporary Lecturers in Classics
The Department also seeks to appoint two full-time Temporary Lecturers, for two years from October 1, 2002, as a consequence of the award of Leverhulme Major Research Fellowships to Professor Richard Buxton and Professor Charles Martindale. Between them the two appointees will be expected to contribute to the Department's teaching in the areas of Greek language and literature and/or mythology, and in Latin language and literature and/or its reception. Salary £21,503 per annum.
