The Department of Classics at Brock University invites applications for one limited term appointment for either 10 months (1 August 2001 - 31 May 2002) or 12 months (1 July 2001 - 30 June 2002) depending upon qualifications, and subject to final budgetary approval. The courses to be assigned will be Greek and Latin language, Greek literature-in-translation and Greek mythology.

Applications are invited for an eight-month Teaching Term appointment to commence on September 1, 2001.  The appointee will teach three courses in each of the fall and winter semesters of 2001-2002.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. or be near completion.  Those with expertise in any field of classical studies are encouraged to apply.  Duties will include
lecture courses in appropriate areas of  Greek and Roman studies, and junior level courses in Latin and/or Greek.  Salary will be determined according to the current collective agreement.
