The Department of Classics, McMaster University, is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach a one-
term course - CLASSICS 2E03/THE ANCIENT WORLD IN FILM. The course is scheduled for
Monday evenings, 6.30 - 9.30, and begins on January 10, 2000. The course ends on April 3. The
date of the Final Examination, for which the Lecturer is also responsible, has not yet been
determined, but will fall before April 30. Remuneration, as per Schedule A of the current
Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 3096, is $4.050.00. The
deadline for receipt of applications is December 1, 1999. Qualifications required are
Ph.D. (or near completion) in Classics. Experience teaching a course in this area is highly
desirable.
